sorry to be uploading so much stuff lately, my muse is just blooming.
this is just me trying out a totally new thing, because today i finally made a life changing decision. next year, i'm dropping out of university and going to the Design & Arts school here in Christchurch, which is one of the best in the country, to do a Bachelor of Graphic Design.
this is because my ultimate goal is to secure a job working in the Art Department of a magazine somewhere, designing layouts etcetera. i'm so excited about my choice, and i realised i will need a portfolio when enrolling, so i'm starting to practice new things and play around with photoshop some more. (like this one, which is basically a photo, gradients, fractal brushes, photoshop actions, cross processing and typography)
credits coming tomorrow morning, as with other two deviations. (need to sift through files)
Everything about this is just so beautiful The textures, blends of colours, the writing overlayed on the rose, so pretty!! And it does look like something out of a professional magazine
AHHHHHHHHHH you just made me so freaking happy! i'm a total noob at graphic design, so i am so bloody stoked right now! yeah, its amazing to finally know what i want to do, i could never quite grasp the concept of the perfect job for me, i always assumed it was a magazine journalist, but then i realised that i suck at journalism, but still loved magazines.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
